Project Management
While at CSRA I served as Contract Manager for multiyear support services contract with a U.S. Federal government agency. I was responsible for all scope, budget, schedule, human resources, quality, risk, and procurement for the contract. The contract staff included approximately 80 staff members and over 100 Task Assignments. Work was performed across a client organization of more than 700 Federal employees.
Constant changes and challenges were met with high customer satisfaction scores, strong employee retention and a successful recompete.
Independent Assessments
A U.S. Federal research and development agency commissioned an independent assessment of its operational posture. The report was requested by a newly-appointed Operations Director and her principle focus was to determine if the prior Director's actions had hurt morale or created barriers for success.
As part of a small consultant team, we designed an assessment to include direct employee interviews, sensitive data collection, identification of key performance metrics, and final report writing. Actionable recommendations were included in the final report. Upon report delivery, the client could take corrective actions and improve the organization.
Meeting Facilitation
One recent facilitation example includes support of a U.S. Federal advisory board tasked with providing administrative and policy recommendations for agency leadership. At two separate official meetings, I designed facilitated discussions to identify critical challenges and action plans to overcome those challenges.
This advisory board is made of appointed officials, government employees, and academic experts whose differing expertise was harnessed by utilizing a facilitation approach that respects the contribution of all without allowing the bias of the respective participants to dominate the discussion or final meeting report.
Proposal Support
Winning new work and keeping existing work is essential for any business. Firms must develop a viable pipeline of business and successfully qualify and bid on that pipeline under sometimes long and complex timelines. Of course, proposals and grants cannot write themselves, so it is imperative to have a solid proposal process to ensure a compliant and successful bid.
I have extensive experience writing and coordinating hundreds of proposals for both government and commercial clients. I have served as Proposal Coordinator/Lead Technical Author for a 3-year, $60M proposal for a U.S. government support services contract. Recently, I served as a Technical Author for a 5-year, +$100Mfor another U.S. government support services contract.
